if they're still talking about your potential after 5 full years in the NFL (in which you played every single year) It's a good chance you really have no potential.

If you are a 5 year veteran in the league.. your potential has pretty much been seen.

I hope some of you remember this thread after the season starts.

A draft pick is never gauranteed to pan out. We know Britt's NFL potential. We don't know the potential of someone who's never played an NFL down in their life.

    Dumb, dumb, dumb.

Who else on our team other than maybe CJ has a higher ceiling than Britt?

Yea, smoking weed and missing court dates is the same as shooting people in strip clubs.

It would be smarter to let him play for a contract next year if he does well and stays healthy give him a new contract if not cut him. Besides a third round pick isnt that great anyways.

We've never been able to rely on Kenny Britt to stay out of trouble or stay healthy. No matter what he does this year I highly doubt he's going to be a Titan beyond the 2013 season. If he breaks out and stays healthy do we gamble giving him a big contract? I wouldn't.

I'd get something for him now why we still can.

Kenny Britt would break out if he was healthy and not suspended. He's a monster when healthy, but I can't imagine him at this point being healthy and out of trouble for an entire season. It's not if he gets hurt, it's when. It's a shame really, and I no longer think this team and Ruston Webster will count on him to be our only threat in the passing game, because they've done that and Britt has shown that to be an unwise decision. I think they'll take a receiver early.

Frankly, I could see the Bills letting him walk after 2013 if they got him. He'd need a new contract and they're not going to re-sign him before he PROVES he can do something for more than four games at a time. The hard part for Britt doing that is staying on the field.

He's already shown he can do it in the short term. Just needs to show he can do that for a whole season. It's not like Cook who would make a few plays here and there. Kenny has dominated games. He has definitely shown he can be a star.
