Theres like 14 guys in this draft I could see us taking at 10. So really, I have no idea what our front office is planning. I'm not even sure I know what I want us to do

I'd love to trade down and get Cooper

If we keep 10, Warmack or Ansah are my favorites

I settled on Ansah. Unfortunately he will not fall to us or if he did we still probably would not draft him. I want a guy like Ansah who is willing to do what it takes to become great. Someone who is not just satisfied being drafted but is committed to becoming better and learning and actually retaining and incorporating the things he is learning. I read this excerpt out of the nydailynews.

Ezekiel Ansah knows he should get more sleep every night, but the defensive end from Brigham Young can't help himself. Too often, he'll stay up late watching the NFL Network, studying the pass-rushers, charting their moves.
"I have no idea who they are," he said at the NFL Scouting Combine in February. "(But) this is going to be my life, so I just try to suck it all in."

This guy is dedicated and is a quick learner. Look at the Senior bowl for example. Had difficulty during the first of the week and got better by the end of the week and dominated in the bowl game. He is going to be a stud as a 4-3 DE. Not so sure if someone tries to convert him to rush OLB in a 3-4.

Talking about the draft early today and someone asked me who I thought the Titans would take and I really couldn't answer it. Our only major hole is OG and a shortage of talent on the roster. If we can just have another good draft class and a starting OG then I'll be fine no matter who we take. However, I will give my first thoughts on some guys:

Ansah: Too risky at 10? Worth it? Is DE really a big enough need in the 1st?
Warmack/Cooper: Good prospects but so many others available later.
Mingo: Really like but could he be an effective 43 DE?
Milliner: Safest pick outside OG. I don't agree he's a top 10 talent but could be a good starter.
Star: Worried about heart, would take at 10.

The DE's rated here are pretty risky to take, Guard is safe, Star would be a nice pick at 10, and outside of Milliner I do have some doubts if Trufant/Rhodes are worthy of a pick at #10 but would be okay. I wish we could just trade down. If we could pick up a mid 1st and another 3rd I would do something like...

    1. Trufant
    2. Warford
    3. Patton
    3. Bostic
    3. Swearinger
    4-7: DE then BPA.

A trade just fills another need with a high talented guy and we don't give up much in the 1st because honestly I can see a lot of the guys we're going after still there at 20 or a bit later.

After taking everything into consideration (team needs, value, hype) I think it would make most sense for us to take Cooper. Star is my #2 but he also may be gone by the time we pick. Jordan and Ansah are just too big of a risk at #10.

The crazy thing is that I just can't help but think that we take Cordarelle Patterson. It makes a lot of sense for us. Kenny is a ? Nate doesn't seem to figure into our plans anymore, Jake needs a solid WR target next to Kendall. And if Patterson is the top WR in the draft the value is definitely there. Cooper and Warmack are more of a sure thing IMO but history shows that you don't take a G that high.

I want Cooper but don't see us taking a G that high.

Rhodes cone and shuttle were absolutely horrible on his pro day. I have never seen a player with that 40 time do so poorly on those other times. We are talking about o-linemen type times for the cone and shuttle and the cone is more important for CBs than than any other position.

When looking at a Cb that high in the draft i want a guy with a sub 7.00 cone time. Revis ran a 6.56 cone time. Rhodes time was 7.29.

If you do a bit of research you'd see that the conditions were awful at his pro day. It rained heavily the night before and also in the morning and the field was in bad shape. It seems as though guys were losing their footing all over the place, he also dropped a lot of balls that day. Either way I'm not worried about his short shuttle or hands.

Funny, most of you haven't decided on a one guy and we're like a week away from the draft. C'mon people decide already. :D
