Titans middle linebacker Colin McCarthy had a procedure earlier this offseason on the right ankle he injured in Week One of the 2013 season.

McCarthy sent a message via Twitter on Tuesday he’s already running again, however.

McCarthy suffered the injury on September 9 against the Patriots, and ended up missing four games. Later in the season he suffered a concussion, which caused him to miss the final five games of the regular season. He ended the season on Injured Reserve.

The Titans begin their offseason program on Monday. The team is scheduled to hold its first minicamp beginning on May 29.

well let's see if the glass man an finally get, and stay healthy. If he can he's a stud, if not, time for him to hit the road because the player in the world isn't any good unless he's on the field on a consistent basis.

When I was younger, I thought injury was a purely 'luck' thing.

However, after years upon years of following sports, it's really far less about luck and more about the actual players. Some have a higher propensity to get injured and others don't. C-Mac obviously isn't the latter...

    --

With all that, I hope he can flip it around b/c the dude is a beast when healthy and I don't mind giving him another chance. When he took over for Ruud, there was a reason he kept that job... Having a presence in the middle is huge and he was a real playmaker in such short time...

Plus just imagine Ayers, CMAC, and Brown, that's an LB core that can do SOME SERIOUS DAMAGE.... I've seen enough from the 'parts' and if the SUM can be even better then the parts, that's a top 5 core for sure....

Style of play certainly plays into injuries, as does conditioning. I think obviously genetics effect likeliness of injuries too, like Chris Johnson for example. That guy is always taking big shots, but is never hurt. He's just built right, I mean his grandma lived to like 100, he's got some good genes.

It really wouldn't surprise me to see us go ILB Rd 2... if Minter or Ogletree is there.
